End of Year Report 2025

Milestones achieved in 2025, and priorities for 2026 and beyond

1. The Barry Long Archive becomes publicly available

In 2025, the Barry Long Archive was released to the public. It began by making the complete video archive available, and in the months since we have significantly expanded it by adding 500+ hours of audio. In 2026 we will continue to publish further recordings, steadily growing the collection and deepening what is available to subscribers and visitors.

Alongside audio and video materials, the archive also features curated sections such as topic categorisation and an extensive, growing repository of articles – an area that has become one of the most-viewed sections of the website, reflecting how strongly people value clear written entry-points into the work.

2. The Barry Long Podcast continues to grow

Podcasting has become an increasingly popular way for people to engage with Barry Long materials. The Barry Long Podcast has grown to around 200 episodes with a selection of free episodes, and we continue seeing healthy growth.

Notably, YouTube continues to be the most popular platform for podcast listening and discovery, despite hosting only the free portion of the catalogue. This underlines an important insight: distribution and discoverability matter at least as much as the depth of the catalogue, and people often encounter the work first through the simplest, most open platform. Looking ahead, we believe the next phase of growth will come less from simply releasing more material and more from increasing accessibility.

Throughout 2026 we will continue to publish new episodes and further The Barry Long Podcast.

3. Introducing the Barry Long Answers podcast: a new Q&A format

In late 2025 we released a new podcast offering, Barry Long Answers, built around a simple, repeatable format: each episode begins with a direct question put to Barry and his uncompromising response. The series launched on YouTube in December 2025 and quickly gained traction.

In Barry Long Answers, we bring to the foreground material that is distinctive of Barry Long: he confronts the day-to-day problems of men and women, meets them exactly where they are, enters areas that are rarely addressed, and speaks directly—without dilution or evasion.

Throughout 2026, we will continue adding new material and will progressively publish the Barry Long Answers series across major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and others.

4. Expanding the archive to include access to Barry's books

Looking ahead to mid-2026, the Barry Long Archive will expand to include additional access to Barry Long's books within the standard subscription – our idea is to bring the entire book catalogue into the archive so that, for the duration of an active subscription, people can read digital editions of Barry Long's books without needing to separately purchase print copies or individual digital titles.

We expect this to be particularly attractive for short-term subscribers: for the price of a meal, one could have access to the entirety of Barry Long's published work and read widely without additional purchases.

5. Ebook sales in the Store

Later in 2026 we also plan to offer ebook downloads from our sales through the Store.

As we open up ebook downloads, we will be able to revive and release foreign language publications that are no longer in print or not available through foreign publishers.

6. A native mobile application for the archive

In late 2026 or in 2027, we may also create a mobile Barry Long App that would provide access to the Barry Long Archive, with advanced features such as offline playback, to provide easier access in everyday situations.
