SUMMARY
The talk begins by bringing attention inside to me—the intimate locus where love, anger, sweetness and joy are felt. The first task is to sense the steady graininess of sensation and the well-being that underlies the body. Negativity is acquired; well-being is native. Do not rush to problems, for they magnetise the brain into restless thinking.
The guidance is to establish contact with the good, or at least with sensation, before turning towards fear, resentment or anxiety. From that base, negativity is gradually dissolved by the reality already present in the body, rather than by analysis. The brain loves experience—especially anxious experience—so discipline is needed to stay with sensation and the good.
