SUMMARY
Beginning outdoors among birds and breeze, the talk opens by saying the Earth we perceive is only half of what it was because we have lost half the use of our senses. In epochal time—majestically slower than common time—humanity prepares to depart the planet. Outer space is the mirror of man's abstraction; Mars is only good for the mind, not the senses. The counter-movement is 'going home': back into the Earth behind the senses, the source that creates the visible world. Cosmic consciousness is to see life as it is now and, in that seeing, to know what is to be. There is no disaster—only the unfolding of existence—but there is responsibility to live sensuously now. Practically, this means turning from videoed life and concept-travel to direct sensing; acknowledging the partner one has; meeting the daily task as divine will; facing the blackness that ends self; and stopping moods before they rise.
