SUMMARY

Everything is made new every moment, but it happens so swiftly our system cannot grasp it, so the brain supplies continuity. Films demonstrate the same illusion: frames flicker, and yet you see a seamless story, while a space exists between each frame. Behind the sensory plane, overlaid by the day-to-day habits and the comfort of 'the same', there is the void—nothing. This nothing is the state of being and reality, more real than anything that appears in existence, though it cannot be put into words. To realise this spiritually is to bear the shock of being nothing in the midst of being something. This is why the spiritual life is a gradual reveal; it prepares you to endure what the mind panics to avoid.
