SUMMARY

Present science measures; it cannot admit love and truth, the very quality of life. Every act of thinking quantifies by referring to past or future, the new science concerns the immediacy of consciousness—the felt oneness that resonates beyond the mind. Universities do not grant degrees in love or truth; they do not fit the vocabulary of measurement. Yet the man or woman behind the scientist longs to be love and truth. The new science teaches this immediacy. Listening becomes a mirror: disturbance shows what is not right; ease shows goodness. Responsibility is central—do what you do, but know it, own it, and pay the price. External commandments are for those who cannot yet hear truth; hearing truth renders them unnecessary. The same energy called sex is love; divided, it fuels restless appetites—business, food, success. Seeing the lack of union within is the cure; nothing more need be done. Life is not fragile, and true prayer is gratitude for the life that already is.
