Divining the Kingdom: You can only see the Truth through the False

Recording 05 of 08

Die to continuity, live in the instant

Existence only appears to be continuous; in reality it is recreated each instant. Love is continuous because it is ever new as the source of the creation. The world resists such truth, so one must stand alone and test everything in direct experience.

SUMMARY

Using the image of an electric light flickering on and off, existence is shown to be momentary renewal mistaken for continuity. Clinging to what was lovely turns to sorrow because it is already gone. When still and swift enough to look again and again, love is seen as continuous by being freshly born each moment, not by memory or grasping.

The world of ignorance opposes love, truth, and life and will try to destroy their forms. Therefore, share the truth only when asked; otherwise guru-itis and frustration follows. Pain and suffering expose what is false, creating a space where surrender reveals what is real. Meditation is to be present within and without: scanning the body, feeling the solar plexus, and letting the looker and feeler become one presence.
