A practical map from senses to spirit
Barry lays out a practical inner map beginning with the body and moving through senses, subconscious, pure psyche and spirit, insisting that love, truth, life, God and death are not found outside but only by an intelligent descent within.

SUMMARY
The talk opens by grounding everything in the body. Barry rejects the tendency to imagine truth, God or love as something out there, and instead describes the body as an integral vertical field in which outer senses, subconscious feeling-life, pure psyche and spirit are contained. The first inner layer holds feelings, hurts, opinions, hopes, fears and memories; deeper still lie finer psychic states and, beyond form altogether, the spirit as nothing. He insists that this movement inward is the real work being done whenever intelligence listens rightly.
On this basis he redefines the spiritual journey. The psyche may produce visions, near-death imagery, beautiful forms and energetic appearances, but anything with form remains within existence and therefore short of truth. The spirit is sheer stillness, absolute nothing, and that nothing is what he calls God. Thus realization is not acquiring experience but consciously being nothing, allowing intelligence to pass through my 'self' into 'me'.
From there he turns practical. He describes the practice of sinking consciously into inner blackness without trance, effort or thought, and says that this contact with 'me' gradually reorders life. The whole teaching aims to shift attention from outer complexity, belief and force into the simple, living source already present in the body.
