LOCATION

Venue: Openbare Bibliotheek, Hella Haasse Zaal (6th floor), Oosterdokskade 143 (next to Central Station).

The Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam (public library) is a spacious new building, with on the 7th floor buffet cafe restaurant La Place Marché and a splendid view over the historical city centre of Amsterdam (www.oosterdokseiland.nl). A 5 min walk from the Central Station with a parking garage (E3.80 per hour). Free parking is available at Van Riemsdijkweg, from where you can take a free half-hourly ferry to Central Station.

GETTING THERE

The Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam is a 5 minute walk from the Central Station. There is a parking garage between Central Station and the OBA called Parking Oosterdok (Euro 3,80 per hour). Free parking is available in Amsterdam-Noord at Van Riemsdijkweg. From there take the ferry (NDSM-werf veer), which leaves every half hour to Central Station and takes 15 minutes to cross the river. From there it is a 5 minute walk to the OBA - see map

MEALS

On the 1st floor of the OBA is a coffee/juices/sandwich shop and on the 7th floor a La Place Marché restaurant. Also nearby are food shops, café’s and restaurants in the city.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations before 10 October will receive a full refund. Cancellations after 10 October will receive a 50% refund.
